About Ultherapy Original Lift

Ultherapy Original Lift uses microfocused ultrasound to reverse the effects of aging; improving the appearance of lines and wrinkles.
It is a non-invasive US Food and Drug Administration (FDA)-approved treatment that requires minimal to no downtime.
The treatment stimulates collagen and elastin production in the skin resulting in a slimmer, more lifted and contoured face. It helps to tighten the skin on the face, neck, under the chin, décolletage and above the brow.
The ultrasound energy is able to penetrate from 1.5mm, 3.0mm and up to 4.5mm underneath the skin without affecting the top most layer.

It targets both the dermis and foundational tissue layers where laxity begins.
Since 2008, Ultherapy has treated over a million people worldwide. Data has shown that patients treated on one side of the face with Ultherapy has shown an average of 42% increase in the synthesis of collagen (specifically Types I and III - the types most associated with aging) as compared to the other side of the face where nothing was done. And with stimulating the collagen synthesis, it was noted the increase in the skin firmness which led to achieving the the lifting effect.
Frequently Asked Questions

1. Who Does It Work For?
Ultherapy is safe for all skin types and can be combined with other aesthetic treatments to provide a comprehensive solution to facial rejuvenation. It is most beneficial to people with mild to moderate sagging of the skin. People with severe skin sagging may require more frequent treatments to see ideal results.
Sagging eyelids, undefined jaw lines, droopy eyelids, lines and wrinkles are some indicators to consider treatment.

2. What Happens During an Ultherapy Session?
Numbing cream will first be applied to the area to be treated. The doctor will target the area through ultrasound imaging and with the Ultherapy handpiece, micro-focused ultrasound energy will be emitted. You may experience some tingling and/or heat during the treatment.
Treatment duration depends on the area treated. Treating the entire face and neck will take between 90-120 minutes, while treatment of the upper brow or undereye area will take about 30 minutes.
3. Is the Treatment Painful?
The discomfort depends on your personal pain tolerence. But generally, it is very tolerable and most patients report minimal discomfort. Numbing cream will be provided and the intensity of the treatment can be adjusted to suit you.
4. What to Expect After the Treatment?
There may be slight skin redness and swelling right after the treatment. But the symptoms should disappear within a few hours. Some people may also experience some tingling or tenderness to the skin, but these are temporary and will subside in a week or two.
5. When Will I See Results? How Long Do the Results Last?
Right after the procedure, some patients will be able to see instant lifting of the skin. However, the full effects will typically be seen over two to three months.
Ultherapy stimulates a person’s own collagen production and depending on each individual, the results last between a year to 2 years. Yearly touch-up treatments are recommended to maintain a youthful and lifted face.
6. How Many Treatment(s) Will I Need?
Depending on each individual’s skin laxity and condition, the number of treatment ranges from 1-2 treatments in order to see visible results.
